One of the innovations of this “Aeropuerto Kids-Friendly” programme is “The Club of Small Travellers (El Club de pequeños Viajeros)”, a space for interactive and educational games for kids in the pre-embarkment zone of Terminal A. Here the travel theme is developed in a context of fun and games.

Within the airport parents can enjoy the free use of prams or baby carriages to transfer children. An agreement has also been reached with the catering outlets to incorporate a “Kids Menu.”

Both in the public zone and the pre-embarkment sector there are changing areas for babies in the toilet facilities (both Ladies and Gents).

“For some time we have been working on a greater segmentation of the products and services offered to bring the airport closer to the passenger,” explained Daniel Ketchibachian, general manager of Ezeiza Airport, adding: “Around 20 percent of travelling groups include at least one underage person. After studying their experience in detail, we have found points to improve and are developing new benefits which will be increased as each month goes by.”

In tune with Spotter Teens – a special event enabling teenagers to photograph aircraft close-up and from original angles, which was organised last July – a “photo point” has been installed in the pre-embarkment area of Terminal B allowing both children and teens to take their snapshots.

Within a few months the check-in sector of Terminal A will have a rest area and a platform for children´s games making waiting-times more entertaining. Guided visits for children from rural schools are also being arranged to integrate the airport more fully with local communities. It is hoped that this “Ezeiza experience” of expanding services beyond the most basic can be gradually transferred to all other aiports within the AA2000 concession as air transport becomes more popular.
